Terms & Privacy

Your business runs on us. So we take your data seriously.

Effective 25 June 2026 · Last updated 25 June 2026

Plain-language terms for using Velo — and a clear look at exactly how your data is stored, encrypted and protected. No legal maze. Just what you need to know.

How your data is protected

Velo runs on enterprise infrastructure that is independently audited and certified. Here is what that means for you, in real terms.

Encrypted at rest

Your data is stored with AES-256 encryption — the same standard used by banks.

Encrypted in transit

Everything moves over TLS 1.2+, so data is protected the moment it leaves your device.

SOC 2 Type II

The platform is SOC 2 Type II audited every year against AICPA security standards.

ISO 27001 certified

Certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022 — the global standard for information security.

GDPR & privacy laws

Aligned with GDPR, CCPA and the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Google Cloud hosted

Infrastructure runs on Google Cloud Platform, with hardened, resilient data centres.

You own your data

Your contacts and content are yours. We never sell them, ever.

Access & deletion

2FA, granular permissions, audit logs — and delete-on-request whenever you ask.

01 Who we are

Velo is a business-growth platform operated by NML (Newmedia) under C.R. 129021, based in the Kingdom of Bahrain. When we say “we,” “us,” or “Velo,” we mean NML. When we say “you” or “your business,” we mean the customer subscribing to a Velo plan. By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to these terms.

02 Your subscription & billing

  • Plans are billed monthly or annually depending on the cycle you choose at checkout. Prices are shown on our pricing page.
  • Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time and stop renewing at the end of your current billing period — no long lock-in contracts.
  • Payments are processed securely through our payment provider. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
  • Usage-based items (such as WhatsApp messages, email volume and AI responses) follow the rates shown for your plan.

03 Acceptable use

Velo is a powerful tool, and we ask you to use it responsibly. You agree not to:

  • Send spam or unsolicited messages, or anything that breaks email, SMS or WhatsApp/Meta rules and applicable anti-spam laws.
  • Message contacts who have not given you permission to contact them.
  • Use Velo for anything illegal, fraudulent, or harmful to others.
  • Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the platform.

You are responsible for the consent and opt-in status of the contacts you load into your account.

04 Your data & privacy

Your data belongs to you. The contacts, conversations and content in your account are yours — we act only as the service that stores and processes them on your behalf so you can run your business.

In short: your data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+), hosted on Google Cloud, and protected by a platform that holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certifications and aligns with GDPR, CCPA and the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We never sell your data.

We use your data only to provide and improve the service you signed up for. You can request access to, export of, or deletion of your data at any time, and we will action it. If you close your account, your data is removed in line with our retention and the platform’s standard processes.

05 WhatsApp, email & messaging

Velo connects to the official WhatsApp Business API (Meta-certified) and to email/SMS channels. Your use of these channels must follow Meta’s policies and the laws that apply to your contacts. We provide the tools; you remain the sender and are responsible for the content and consent behind your campaigns.

06 Availability & support

We work hard to keep Velo running smoothly and rely on enterprise-grade, resilient infrastructure. We can’t promise the service will never be interrupted (no online service can), but we aim for high availability and will support you if something goes wrong. Support levels and onboarding depend on your plan.

07 Liability

Velo is provided on an “as is” basis. To the extent allowed by law, our liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for outcomes that depend on how you use the platform.

08 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time as the service evolves. When we make a material change, we’ll update the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, let you know. Continuing to use Velo after a change means you accept the updated terms.

09 Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and any dispute will be handled by the competent courts of Bahrain.
